James graduated from the National University of Natural Medicine in the summer of 2020 and has practiced in the Portland, OR and Chicago, IL areas. James came across acupuncture in his mid-twenties and quickly became fascinated with Chinese Medicine. After reading any book he could get his hands on and further exploring qigong and yoga, he chose to make his hobby into his career.
At first, James was really interested in the theory of Chinese Medicine. As he gained more knowledge and experience, he loved the fact that Chinese Medicine could treat so many health issues. James’ experience includes working at community acupuncture clinics, a cancer treatment center and wellness centers. In his career, James has treated a variety of conditions, however, he focuses on sciatica, plantar fasciitis, post-COVID, thyroid issues, fertility, women’s & men’s health, digestive issues, allergies, and auto-immune conditions. James’ acupuncture style is a blend between Master Tung and Sa’am, and he also has training with muscle motor points which are very effective for pain. As for herbal medicine, James is studying with The Institute of Classics in East Asian Medicine, which originates from a classical Chinese Medicine lineage.
James’ vision is to help as many patients as he can, as well as be an ambassador for Chinese Medicine. James is very passionate about what Chinese Medicine can do for our healthcare system, and the many people continuing to suffer from conditions that western medicine does not have the answer for. When you see James, expect to be with a provider who listens, cares, and wants to see you improve.
James is excited to relocate to the Madison area. His family has strong ties to UW Madison, and he has visited many times. In his free time, James enjoys swimming, pickle ball and hiking.
