Elissa is a nationally certified, licensed acupuncturist with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Nutrition and Psychology, and a Master of Science degree in Oriental Medicine. She completed an advanced internship at the Guangzhou Institute for Traditional Chinese Medicine in Guangzhou, China. A lifetime struggle with asthma, allergies, and chronic sinusitis led Elissa to become interested in alternative medicine. Acupuncture, dietary and lifestyle changes, as well as Chinese herbal medicine restored Elissa to the state of health that she had longed for since childhood. Elissa treats children and adults with a wide variety of health concerns. She enjoys helping people feel well, and hopes to empower her patients to be healthy in mind, body and spirit.
